We have an action packed programme of exhibitions and events.
16 & 17 October: Dobunni Poetry Festival presents two events at the chapels:
1. A selection of Poetry Films from 14:00-17:00 on Friday 16 October and from 11:00-17:00 on Saturday 17 October.
Enjoy a selection of poetry films at the Chapels of Rest.
This is a FREE event running on the 16th and 17th October. Stroud Cemetery, Bisley Rd, Stroud GL5 1HJ.
There is no need to buy a ticket as this event is for people to come and go as they please. The films will be played on a loop. The room accommodates a maximum of 40 people. You can enjoy the Living Matter sound installation in the adjacent room or go for a walk around the nature reserve if the room is full.
2. LIVING MATTER Sound Installation & a selection of poetry films to enjoy, from 14.00-17.00 each day
Enjoy a transportive sound installation at the Chapels of Rest. This is a FREE event running on the 16th & 17th October.
Living Matter is a 40-minute spatial sound installation pulsing with imaginal resonance and rooted in the ancient landscape, weaving poetry, music, song, field recordings, into a multisensory experience that invites emotional attunement with the more-than-human. A collaboration between composer Mara Simpson, sound engineer Tobin Jones, poet JLM Morton and artist Narna Hue.

26-30 October: Embers of Belief - Stories We Carry, Rituals We Keep
A participatory exhibition, exploring the beliefs, rituals and stories that connect us.
What do you believe in? What stories do you carry? What rituals do you keep?
Come and explore a collection of images, symbols and stories inspired by different cultures and add your own beliefs to the exhibition.
OPENING EVENT : 26 October | 6–9pm
The exhibition is then open: 27–30 October | 11am–4pm
MAKE A WISH — CLOSING EVENT 31 October | 5–9pm
On Halloween, join artist Sabrina Impieri for a special ‘MAKE A WISH‘ event.
Make your own wish and take home a heart-shaped stone keepsake
a little symbol of good luck to keep for yourself or pass on to someone you love
